MENA Regional Meeting

ZUThe 68 PRME signatories from all over the Middle East and North Africa are invited to participate in a mix of keynote speakers, expert panelists and hands-on workshops designed to discover, dream and design concrete initiatives and practical programs to help further work toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Under the theme of "Social Enterprise in Support of the UN SDGs," workshop topics will cover the four focal points of the PRME MENA region: Curriculum, Research, Private-Sector Engagement and Diversity in Business.

We are happy to announce this year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Chris Laszlo, Professor of Sustainability and Organizational Development at Case Western Reserve University and Co-Founder of Sustainable Value Partners. Dr. Laszlo is an author of several books on Sustainability including “Flourishing Enterprise,” chosen as one of the top sustainability books by Sustainable Brands. In 2012 he was selected by his peers to be one of the “Top 100 Thought Leaders in Trustworthy Business Behavior” by Trust Across America™. Dr. Laszlo has also played a key role in the creation of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, used widely as a blueprint for sustainable development around the world and which map directly to Vision 2021.

Regional Meetings

ZUThe Regional Meetings are prepared with the intention to complement the global events, issue-area working groups and other related activities of the initiative, providing an opportunity to work with and adapt the Six Principles of PRME into local context, facilitating the growth of the PRME community and helping deepen the understanding of sustainability and responsible management education issues.

In that sense, participants will be able to share and learn about PRME, UN Global Compact and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). This will be an outstanding opportunity for you to network and meet with colleagues, practitioners and representatives of business, government and NGOs.
