Dubai Business Women Council invite their members to participate in Emirates Woman Award,Emirates Business Women Award was launched under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed al Maktoum in the year 2003.
The award dedicates itself to encouraging the country’s women (UAE Nationals & Residents) to play their part in corporate affairs, and to recognize and appreciate the ladies who have been successful in their respective careers/businesses.
The award takes its participants through a journey of self discovery and makes them realize their true potentials.
After six cycles of sole sponsorship by Shell M.E., the award has gone through a face lift in criteria and is now known by its new name: Emirates Women Award.
Rules for participation
General:
1. The applicant must be a UAE national or a resident holding a valid residence visa.
2. Permanent and/or contract employees of Dubai Quality Group (organizer) and their immediate family members are not eligible to apply for the award.
3. The applicant must declare her willingness to share her experiences with other women in the local community.
4. Entries must include the completed submission document in (English / Arabic) which is included in this website.
5. Only Cross-referencing of evidence copies against the performance criteria is encouraged.
6. Evidence supporting application should be submitted in not more than 4 pages.
For Business Owners:
1. The applicant must currently own a business located in UAE.
2. The business must have been in operation for a minimum of 3 years.
3. The applicant must be primarily responsible for the current performance of her business.
For Professionals:
1. The applicant must be employed in UAE and has worked in UAE for a minimum of 3 years.
2. The applicant may be employed in any professional sector.
Criteria
In preparing her submission, each applicant must demonstrate how her business/professional performance meets the Award criteria.
1. Evidence against all 5 criteria must be submitted.
2. Where evidence applies to more than one criterion, it is acceptable to cross reference. For example, applications may be relevant to both Criterion 3: Career Achievements and Criterion 5: Innovation.
Please note:
Assessors are looking for specific details as to how the applicant meets the criteria supported with evidence and results of their activities.
