Kay Robinson, Founder, The Makers Guild

In early 2018, Kay channelled her more creative interests into a small vendor brand, and in just over two-years, this part-time hobby business went from its first small artisan market stall to the 1,022 sq. ft boutique, retail concept store operating today in Times Square, Dubai.

The Makers Guild is a fully self-funded, family-owned business, with a brand ethos of supporting the shop local movement. Through the Makers Guild, Kay has created a community feel, supporting many UAE-based vendors to develop and grow by showcasing their unique products.

Before embarking on the entrepreneurial world, Kay trained and worked in finance and accountancy for more than 20 years, both in the UK and Dubai.
