Faced with breakneck technological advances and political turbulence, people are now questioning whether society’s long-standing institutions can effectively lead us in the years ahead. The Edelman Trust Barometer 2020 uncovers people’s expectations for the future to understand how those beliefs affect their trust. What do people want business and government leaders to do to address their concerns about AI or genetic research? How should leaders best prepare their companies, their nations and the world for the next waves of innovation?
At our virtual event, we will present the UAE findings of the 20th annual edition of the study, which has grown over the past two decades into the world’s most robust exploration of trust in business, government, NGOs and media. We will also take you through the findings of the 2020 Edelman Trust Barometer Spring Update: Trust and the Covid-19 Pandemic. This global study, looks at how the Coronavirus pandemic has affected trust across institutions and industry sectors and explores what leaders around the world can do to protect and increase the trust necessary to navigate the crisis, reopen responsibly and lead conversations around rebuilding the social compact in a post-Covid society. Our guest panel will explore the implications of the findings.
