Date: 8/9/2009

Dubai, Sunday, 9th August 2009 – Under the Patronage of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, Wife of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai the Women in Leadership Forum (WIL Forum) will take place in Dubai from the 25th-27th October 2009.

Organised by Naseba, a leading business information company, the WIL Forum will offer the ideal environment for up to 500 businesswomen and leaders to set trends, influence, innovate and leverage women’s participation in the global business world. With an acclaimed line up of leading politicians, global business leaders, policy makers, professionals and women entrepreneurs, the Forum will investigate real change and the impact on women’s roles in today’s competitive world. It will also present the perfect platform to explore the opportunities for growth between the GCC countries and the international market.

“It gives me great pleasure to support the leading women of the Arab world as they continue to expand their horizons and strengthen their positions in the global political and business arena,” stated Princess Haya. “Arab women play a significant role in the development of societies and economies, particularly in the UAE where there is a strong focus on women and reinforcing their contribution to the public and private sectors. The upcoming Women in Leadership Forum will not only provide the delegates with a platform to meet with some of the most influential women in the region but also provide an opportunity to explore the opportunities for growth between the GCC states and the international market.”
Keynote addresses and plenary sessions will uncover innovative strategies, address the challenges of today’s economic climate and inspire all attendees with the success stories of the region’s most influential women. Some of the confirmed speakers include: Fatima Al Jaber, COO, Al Jaber Group; Shimi Shah, CEO, Forsa; and Raja Easa Al-Gurg, President, Dubai Business Women Council.

On October 25th 2009, ‘The Women Achievement Awards Ceremony’ will be held, recognising businesswomen who have broken new ground in the business world as well as outstanding achievers.
