As part of DBWC’s ongoing efforts to equip members with essential professional skills, a workshop entitled “The Art and Science of Personal Branding: The Wave Method” was conducted by Lynn Al Khatib, Executive Coach and Vice President – Communications at Chalhoub Group. The session highlighted the importance of owning and defining one’s personal story in today’s competitive world. Through Lynn’s signature ‘Wave Method’, participants explored the foundations of personal branding and thought leadership, conducted a self-assessment of their current brand presence, and identified common barriers such as imposter syndrome, lack of clarity, and visibility challenges. The workshop also guided attendees in defining a clear vision statement for their professional identity, while applying practical tools and exercises from the Wave Method to begin shaping their personal brand.
