PwC Middle East’s latest thought leadership report, ‘Navigating the path back: Women returners in MENA’

PwC Middle East’s latest thought leadership report, ‘Navigating the path back: Women returners in MENA’ which is the 2024 edition of our Case for Diversity series is now launched and live in time to honor International Women’s Day this year.

This is a pioneering report for the MENA region shedding light on a critical talent pool of experienced female professionals who have dropped out of the workforce while on the cusp to more senior and leadership roles. Globally and in the region, women are still occupying very few leadership positions and the talent pipeline to leadership is still very much dominated by men. Their report highlights the billion dollar gains that economies in the region could reap if women who have dropped out of the labor force return to work with the required support. It also includes a call to action and has charted a pathway that employers in the region can follow to attract and advance this talent pool.

The report collects insights of over 1200 women in the MENA region who have participated in a survey and shared their experiences in focus groups. They also interviewed CEOs of leading private sector companies to understand their perspectives from leading the workforce in the region.

We all have a role to play in educating ourselves on this topic and mobilizing change as a society towards a more equitable future of work.

Their LinkedIn announcement video launching the report is live here, if you would like to share with your wider networks.
