CHOICE HR Consultancy sheds light on what leadership really is

Dubai, UAE, 12 October 2014 - The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), the official representative organization for business women, both professionals and entrepreneurs, in the Emirate of Dubai, hosted its October Network Majlis at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the theme "A Conversation: Women, Work and the Will to Lead". The session was hosted by Fatima Nakhjavanpur, Founder of CHOICE HR Consultancy.

"We've welcomed many new members to the DBWC after the summer break and it is refreshing to see how passionate women in business in Dubai are," said Mrs. Raja Al Gurg, President of DBWC. "Many of the new members have come to us with questions around women in leadership which included: challenges they face, how can these challenges be solved through the network, how best to lead as a women with such a ranking and how to balance between work and family. Today's session answered all those questions and gave our members the insight into recent issues, community involvement and action points to ensure women leaders support each other."

Fatima Nakhjavanpur, Founder of CHOICE HR Consultancy hosted the morning session and gave members a look into the world of working women. During an open discussion the attendees discussed the challenges that working women face while Fatima provided an in-depth presentation on leadership and why it is important for women to flourish in leadership roles. The session was concluded with tips on leadership and a to-do-list for the ladies to ensure they support each other in their leadership roles.

"Even though women in business have come a long way, there are still assumptions about women having both a successful professional life and a fulfilling personal life at the same time.
