Dr. Raja Al Gurg, President of the DBWC and  Dr. Maria Prandi ,Founder and Executive Director of Business and Human Rights (BHR) sign the MOU for the partnership of The Peace Start Up event that will be held in Dubai soon.

The Peace Start Up commission started in Bogota , Columbia where it brought together entrepreneurs, university students, businesses (private and government sector ), charities, tech people as well as NGOs to team up for about 2 to 3 days of work in order to come up with business solutions for the challenges that are taking place around them .

The Peace Start Up will now be moving to Dubai and the DBWC is proud to announce that it will be hosting and supporting this amazing initiative that aims towards sustainability and peace. It will also tackle on some of the most important challenges pertaining to the Middle East region throughout nurturing entrepreneurial skills, applying the peace start-up methodology, transferring the SDG’s (sustainable development goals) values and knowledge to young entrepreneurs who can transform those challenges into local businesses and CSR opportunities that can support local communities to grow and prosper.

This initiative also promises to cover women entrepreneurs in particular to empower them and equip them with the right tools and knowledge to build peace and economic resilience through building business start-ups that are integrated around the SDG’s.
