DBWC President Meets British Delegation

Al-Gurg, President of the Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC), the
subsidiary of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met
yesterday a delegation of British businesswomen. The delegation was
headed by Mrs. Lubna Qassim, Director of UAE Relations in the
British Business Group � Dubai & Northern Emirates.
It reviewed the achievements of the Emirati women in the political
and economical fields that stem from the interest and the support of
His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, his
brother His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed Al Maktoum, UAE
Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and their
brothers, the Rulers of the Emirates. The progress of women was the
result of granting them all rights to make them capable of playing a
responsible role in society, it was emphasised.

providing her support for development, which the State is
witnessing, due to the encouragement provided to her. Al-Gurg said
that such important meetings would bring views together, besides
being a forum for discussing common interests and activating

The meeting also reviewed the growth scenario which was being
boosted by the unique and strong relations between both countries in
all fields. Possible ways to strengthen these relations through
positive contributions from both sides in a framework of common
cooperation, especially in light of the availability of
opportunities, means of help and support that can be provided to
investors to double their efforts in promoting the investment
partnership and increasing the volume of commercial exchanges, was
